He also applies his extensive knowledge and expertise in software development and project management. Eric is well known for his passion, decisive decision making and accountability to his clients.

James Lee
CTO
|
As co-founder and Chief Technical Officer of HGN, James architects many of the solutions provided by HGN teams. James also mentors and guides most of the project programming teams with his extensive knowledge of databases and software development environments. James is known for being even-keeled, hard working and intellectual. James has spent the last 15+ years developing information management solutions. Since 1994, after the dawn of the World Wide Web, his objective has been to develop truly useful, publicly accessible applications leveraging geospatial data and analysis. The projects in which James has been involved closely parallel the evolution of mapping on the Internet in terms of evolving technology, standards and creative application. Prior to co-founding HGN, James was a senior software developer with AMEC, taking him to exotic locations like Shanghai, China. At Natural Resources Canada, as a Database administrator, programmer and analyst, he was active in launching two generations of real-time mapping of national election results, as well as successive versions of the National Atlas of Canada on-line. Moving to Cymbiont Inc., James guided the development of GeoBroker, an internet-based GIS product that was used to deploy the thematic mapping component of the 1999 release of the National Atlas. This combination of GeoBroker and an ESRI enterprise Geodatabase provided the backbone for the original Lasoo spatial search engine prototype, which was the catalyst for the eventual Lasoo LLC. James was one of the key architect for Lasoo.
